Indian Head Massage - History
Indian Head Massage is an ancient healing system developed in India and
practised to this day. This Ayurvedic therapy is traditionally performed by
Indian women, who use oils to maintain healthy & lustrous hair. The skills
& techniques employed are passed from mother to daughter through
the generations, each family developing their own style &
adapting techniques to suit individual needs.
Barbers in India integrate head massage into their daily treatments, although
their style is more stimulating and vigorous!
